I won’t say I’m a fashion expert, nor would I like to claim to be any sort of fashion critique. However, I don’t think I’d be too far in the wrong to say that wearing shorts, skirts or leggings in place of pants when it is below freezing, is a poor fashion choice.

Some may not have a choice, and to you I send my sympathy, but let’s face it, most of these offenders do have options of bottom-wear. Honestly, what goes through their minds?

“Hmm, it’s 12 degrees outside with a 60% chance of snow… better pair my leggings with my fur-lined jacket today!”

I don’t care how “unfashionable” you’ll look puffed up like a marshmallow, clonking around in your manly looking snow boots; chances are, all the other normal people of the world will look just as “ridiculous.” And don’t try to play it off by telling me just your little Ugg boots and fur jacket are enough, you’re lying and we all know it.

But, you know, if you would rather look “cute” and freeze, it’s your choice. They do say you have to occasionally suffer for your fashion.

On a similar note, my college has recently held a few job fairs and what not where business attire was encouraged. Now let me tell you, boys in suits and button up shirts with ties are extremely sexy. Maybe it’s a personal thing, but when you dress up a little, your attraction level goes up quite a bit. Sure you look cool with your skinny jeans and scene band shirts and your sports jerseys, but you look smoking fine in your Sunday best.

I’m not saying guys should dress like this all the time because obviously then it would take that something extra away. But seriously, you spice it up a little more often and things could really happen for you.
